Schedule I Bankruptcy And Schedule J Bankruptcy Petition Qualification

Schedule I bankruptcy and Schedule J bankruptcy petitions take a snapshot of your present income and present expenses. It is where you are projected to be financially throughout the term of your bankruptcy.

The means test computes what amount is paid to unsecured creditors based on the past six months income. However, if circumstances have changed at the time you file bankruptcy or while in a Chapter 13 bankruptcy, schedule I and J bankruptcy petitions may allow you to change your monthly bankruptcy payment. A decrease in your income will sometimes allow you to pay less to your unsecured creditors. If your income has increased your monthly bankruptcy payments may increase.
